I shot this with my Mavic at 5:30 this morning. 8-second exposure, ISO 1600, DNG, portrait mode, 30-degree upward tilt enabled. Processed in Lightroom.
I've tried this sort of thing with limited success before. Too much smearing in long exposures. Today I did a compass calibration just before takeoff and I think that helped a lot! I took eight or so photos of this scene and three or four of them were usable. Pretty amazing that you can do this kind of thing from a remote-controlled helicopter 300 feet in the air!
Next, I need to nail down focus, because this isn't quite there.
