Hi, i am brand new to this forum and just got my first drone a few days ago.
I am using Dji Mavic Pro with quieter propeller.
I have a few questions in mind, i tried searching the forum but didn’t find any clear answer.
Hope that i can get them by making this post.
So my first fly was yesterday evening, i tried flying in my garden. (A small garden). Note that the sky was a bit dark however i did have the garden light turned on. I did IMU calibration before i fly. When i take off and tried to hover the drone about 1m from the ground. It drifted a lot to the sides. Fortunately, i got it to land before it almost crashed to the fence.
Is it because i fly too low? If so, how high is the minimum limit? I was scare it will drift off to other place so I didn’t take it to higher altitude.
Do i need to turn off both VPS and OA for it to stable hover?
Are there any other reason that may lead to the drone drifting like that?
Will the RTH function working at nighttime?
Do i need a clear mark (eg. a cross mark) on the floor so that the drone will recognize the home point or if the normal grass land will be fine?
Many thanks
