No connection with DJI Assistant 2 (for Mavic)

I have a windows 10 PC.
When I connect my Mavic 2 Pro or my Smart Controller (SC) with my PC, using the USB cable supplied with the SC , none of them shows up on my PC in Windows Explorer (to download pictures)
When I start up DJI Assistant, no connection is made with DJI Assistant neither, as they do not show up in the equipment list.
Last week I connected my RC to my PC and then it was recognised.
How to solve ?

Try uninstalling and reinstalling Assistant 2.

I did on my PC. Does not work. I tried on my windows 10 notebook en after a few confusing messages (repair usb....) it eventually showed the two storages (internal & external) of my M2P and DJI Assistant recognised it as well. For the latter a window popped up from windows defender that I had to give access. It looks to me that the software from DJI is not fully compatible and robust for Windows. No clue why my PC does not recognise anything when I plug in usb.

I have the same problem, it seems to not recognize that I've plugged in the drone, even though I know the connection is made because my computer recognizes videos on the Drone. Have you come up with a solution yet?
