No DJI Minis Available in The USA via Website?

Is this part of the Amazon purchase extra pay plan or something else? I've used Asurion for other things. Will it cover a flyaway?

I've never used it before so I don't know what it covers but I doubt it covers a flyaway. When you buy most anything on Amazon, you can pay for damage insurance which is what this is.

Correct, but not everyone who bought one flies it, and some would be happy to resell it to you, as the CostCo return policy on drones is only 90 days, which has already expired on all sales.

If you read through the thread, he is really now more interested in upgrading to the Mini 4 Pro where he can still use his Mini 3 Pro batteries.
