No warranty for malfunctions at night

where they all there when you retrieved the Drone?

I meant they weren't compromised at the time of take-off
Exactly what part of the warranty are you expecting to have cover this crash?

Unless you can prove a manufacturing defect caused the crash, it is not covered by warranty. OA is a feature, not a guarantee of the manufacturer's warranty.

What was the status of each of the 4 props when the drone was recovered?

Something clearly took out your drone by striking it, sending it into an unrecoverable tailspin after, likely after breaking one or more props.
How this should be covered by the DJI warranty is beyond me.

How much is the repair estimate?
Pay it and DJI will send you a brand new one!

I'd like to see that motor pod and props.

Feel bad for that guy, but... that video looks like every time I've hit a stupid, invisible dangler. It's all great until it isn't.

I wonder if a frozen motor would cause the same response? Anyone ever try flying on less than four turning?

I'm also currently battling a similar case. My Air 3 randomly went haywire, and went straight for the ground. Object avoidance and ground proximity sensors would have stopped it from hitting the ground if it were caused by user error.. I've literally tried landing it without using the land button, fun fact, it doesn't without stopping and hovering.

I provided video footage and flight data to DJI and they are still refusing my case and calling it "pilot error" due to insufficient flight data.

Also with that said, the crash occurred 8 days after purchase and registration - they are not honoring their 30 day swap program.

If they make me pay for repairs, I'll do it and sell this d**n drone and go with another company because I am not dealing with DJI's poor accountability and customer service.

Below is the video of the crash:

Without the recorded flight data, DJI or anyone else can't tell what caused your issue.
Did you supply the recorded flight data?

What drone company would you try next?
Trick question ... there's no other company providing drones that are even half as good.
