Noob can't even get off the ground.

Hey people - yes it's true. I've failed even before reaching the first hurdle. Yesterday I had problems with it stuck in flight sim
Mode so reloaded the software. That fixed that. Now I can't get the GPS to work. Can't find anything in the instructions and I'm about to throw this thing in the bin. Could anybody help me please? ( fly it - not the bin thing)

How did you update the software??? iOS or the other evil OS????
Best is to use DJI Assistant 2.

First time I flew mine (seems like ages ago now) it took me several minutes for it to lock onto the Satellites to get it into GPS mode. Just be patient. As far as the updates go, I have had the best luck doing it through DJI Assistant but even using that I sometimes have it freeze up or fail and have to do it again. It takes forever to get it done going through the Go4 app through the phone.
