Welcome to Mavic Pilots! :)

We don’t know your experience but have fun with your new MP. Study YouTube video's and if new, be sure to use Beginner mode and work the included simulator which really helps. Several free software apps on iOS and guess they are available on Android. The MAVIC Pro is a great machine and will provide you hours of fun. This site is so helpful and members will answer

Very new. I had a “toy” camera drone but that’s it.

Just did my first battery and am warming the hands in the car before #2. Taking it slow, beginner mode all the way except the one time I tested return to home.

I use Videoshop which is iOS and edit right on my iPad. Download pic/video to iPad then upload to Google Photo as the videos tend to be very large. Also have used iMovie if you use Apple

Hey John, sounds like I'm a week or two ahead of you (as far as getting my drone, and the test flights) here in Michigan. I'm no longer in beginner mode, and last night I tried sport mode...surprisingly not as big a jump in performance as I was expecting...I still handled it very well and hardly noticed a difference.

I have to flights in now. Second flight I did off beginner mode. I agree very easy to handle still. For the most part I’m in it to capture good video so I won’t be whipping here and there any how..

I'm also mainly using it for video, as well as back country exploration...I do want to be familiar with sport mode though, because I'm finding my Platinum struggles with headwinds (this time of year, in our area, it is rare to find winds less than 10 knots at surface), and it seems to do better with wind penetration in sport mode considering the higher speeds and all.
