Had it planned last night...all my STUFF to fly in 1 tote bag ...I waked to the wonderful park near me,FOREST PARK in Queens NYC...i go to my usual spot on an astro turf football field/1/4 mile track...i assembled ALL needed and hit the buttons...CONNECTING...CONNECTING...etc./on and on...i make sure my connections were tight and proper and i shut both my TABLET and my Mavic pro...CONNECTING..CONNECTING...no soap/nothing/NADA...CONNECTING...3rd time, check all connections..ZIP,Zero...FREEZING cold...(luckily a mild wind) and packed up and went home, where i am now writing this...i recall something similar that happened months ago...would not connect...i had the wrong setting that can be changed in a small slot of the copter...i had it on the WRONG setting (wi fi ?) something similar to that and i realized that it was the culprit,AFTER i had arrived back home...I was up in the Catskills..PERFECT place to fly but didn't get the chance because of that simple little choice that was set in error...again an hour ago,a repeat performance..all dressed up..and no FLY...Shucks AND dagnabbit !

Well that sucks. What are you flying?

Well that sucks. What are you flying?

I have a Mavic Pro...i will unpack all and check everything within...i was at a total loss...all dressed up,no place to go...i also want to fly in my home..I forget the name of the setting that the drone flies VERY SLOWLY...i believe the poster said..2+ 1/2 MPH....that is IF i get it going...What was the name of that setting ? If you know, please let me know ? Thank You..best to all...martin..NYC

Tripod mode for very slow flying. I also recommend not flying indoors without prop guards. $20.

...CONNECTING..CONNECTING...no soap/nothing/NADA....
That is what the RC will display if your MP is not turned on, in WiFi mode, or not paired correctly. I guess the cold may have affected it if the battery was not kept warm before turning it on. If you can connect indoors (but don't fly without prop guards) then it is probably a cold battery problem.

Whoa...i didn't see this

Thank you for your response...

I will fly it indoors IF i can find that mode and most definitely will fly WITH the guards

Thanks again for taking the time to help

You are welcome. If flying indoors I suggest using Tripod mode, turning off OA and keep away from the ceiling and light-weight things that can get sucked into the props.
