Thank you both for the quick response. I don't have a card reader, I should get one I guess. Yes, I pulled the USB cable, inserted the battery and tried again, same result. I have never turned the drone on before downloading the photos (It said in the manual that it was not necessary to turn it on). I then formatted the card (is this usually almost instantaneous?), took a photo and then turned off the drone. Plugging it back in to the PC, I could then see and download the photo to my PC without issue.
I notice that the internal memory is almost half full, but I can't see that from my PC. Should I be able to? Maybe turning the drone on would help this, I will try that today. It says that it needs formatting when I plug it in. Most of what is in the internal storage is 'other'. Is it OK to format the internal storage? Does the 'Firmware' get put there so if I formatted the internal storage I would them have to reload it?
I am amazed at the accuracy of the RTH. I have one of those foldable spring-hoop landing pads that I use when taking off from the grass field and the RTH put it down precisely in the middle, even though it was quite windy.
