Nvidea Shield upgrade yes or no

I've searched the various versions and read that some aren't working with the go app.
I don't have the K1 tablet.
It's the 6.0.01version and Android 4.1
Last update was 2016
Not sure if it's Nougat
Should i do the upgrade?
Everything working fine now but tired of seeing the "upgrade now"
