Obstacle Avoidance Side Sensors showing red

Well the maiden flight went VERY indeed. However, I am puzzled by the Obstacle Avoidance icon on the Go4 screen. Mine shows green EXCEPT for the two side sensors. For the life of me I can find no mention of this, I have been to the relevant page in Go4 but I am a tad lost. Can anyone help me please?

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your fabulous drone ;-)

The side sensors are only active in "Tripod" mode. You can change to that mode via the slider on the right side of the remote control: position "T".
However you might have to activate the mode change in the App first to be able to change the mode mid-air.

Many thanks for the prompt reply, I'm still in 'baby' mode (Beginer) so will give the Tripod Mode a try, again thank you for you help

The side sensors are only engaged in certain modes

Like tripod and I think active track - but conservative actifr track mode.

Thanks for the help chaps, looks like I will have to rely on the Mk 1 eyeball for other modes so I'm off to Specsavers for a check up :-(

know what you mean glasses for reading i wear mine on the end of my nose to fly long sight is good so i can see drone and keep VLOS and if i need to look at the display i can look through the lens and see it clearly
