old firmware compatible/updated Dji Go 4 .app?

Is old firmware compatible with latest DJI Go 4 .app? ......Or should I use older version of DJI Go 4 app that came out around the same time as the firmware im using?

Currently I'm using 1.04.0300 firmware.

I dont like to update because it seems like DJI is putting more and more restrictions with what you can and cannot do with your drone...
