I have flown within 5 miles of Millard airport w/o notifying, and a cop drove UNDER my drone while landing. He didn't do anything thankfully. PHEW.I'd love to fly at Chalco Hills, but haven't gotten the nerve up to contact Millard.
So, just calling the number for Millard in AirMap would get you to an answering machine? I've seen other model aircraft flown at Chalco Hills before, both motorized and unpowered gliders. I doubt anyone of them is following FAA guidelines. If no one is at the airport. If you get the answering machine and leave a message, that is all you would have to do to fly. I generally do not notify my hometown airport and have had no problems with it.So, just calling the number for Millard in AirMap would get you to an answering machine?
