The 10.5 inch display on the Samsung Galaxy S4 tablet is amazing! Everything on the screen is crystal clear and big enough to easily read.
It loads Go4 just about instantly, and works flawlessly. Now due to the weight of the tablet and the cost I'm looking for something that's more sturdy than the Polar Pro "mavic remote Tablet Mount"
which works, but seems flimsy and I cannot say i trust it to hold the tablet without snapping in two, or three.. or into millions of pieces lol.

Edit: After reading the post below for an apple product that may or may not need a cable, I just wanted to say that the S4 tablet comes with a usb cable that plugs into the M2P controller, it's the standard usb connection in the back of the remote ~ and the other end which plugs into the tablet is USB-C. Life is good.

I use this and as I fly commercially there are times when I am using the controller for 5 hours or more at a stretch. Be warned however while this is the best holder I have tried it (or any other tablet holder) is not a magic bullet. Due to the weight of a 10" device it's always going to be top heavy and unwieldy.

If I am only going to be in the air less than 30 minutes I slap on the Polar Pro Mavic phone mount and use the iPhone. When using the Lifthor I use a DJI full harness, the over both shoulders kind not around the neck and by the time you have assembled the Lifthor (I carry mine broken down in my kit) put the tablet and controller in and put on and attach attach the harness there is 15 minutes gone but if you are going to fly for an extended period it's priceless for the reduction in back and arm strain and the confidence that the whole show is not going to hit the floor. At times when changing SD cards for example I let go of the holder entirely and as long as I don''t dance a tango it all sits securely on my chest.

Regards
Ari

What is it like in bright sun, how many NITS is it?

When I was using that tablet, I used a Mavmount (not a cheap solution). It seemed reasonably bright in sunshine. But I've since moved to the Smart Controller. Just so much more simple to setup and fly. And definitely bright. And PRICEY!

Ohhh, that's rather low, in brightness, I'm surprised it is good in bright sunlight.
It's just okay in the bright sunlight because it has very high contrast. It enough to see, clearly where you are flying and read all information. But I'm always seeking shadows to nail the exposure. Beside the direct sunlight the tablet is really amazing. Very fast and very good colors.

I also use the tablet holder that @OKCZ1 shows. There are several manufacturers, Skyreat being one. I made a "S" hook to attach it to my FMC bag handle and hang the whole thing from the neck strap. It allows single handed operation for hand launching/landing.

Use the histogram and zebra stripes to help with exposure.

I do not know if it is common with Samsung tablets, but my old Tab A is great in the sun. Of course it is better in the shade but very useful in full sun.

I do of course. But I also like to check the live view. ;)

I think it's the high contrast of the AMOLED which makes it better than most tablet.
