I could be wrong but I think most people legitimately just want to be educated and see what the logs are of flight when something goes wrong or doesn’t quite make sense. IMO

Regardless im glad u got ur drone back in 1 piece.

I was full of popcorn anyway .

15 replies to my original post (including 1 of my own), only 3 actually addressed the issue originally raised. Lets try this again....anyone ever had this type of situation happen? Were you able to determine the cause? Pilot error, technical glitch, bird strike?

The rest of this prime digital real estate got taken up by those who believe their mission in life is to tell other people how how to live, work and play. Maybe remember that not everyone is an expert (including me obviously), but even us idiots spent $1500 to $2000 for this fun and we come here asking honest newbie questions about a very complicated piece of equipment. Your arrogance is outweighed only by your lack of ability to pay attention.

You have had few comments on the cause of the issue because you haven't posted the flight log. Without that it would be ignorant speculation.

Regarding the other comments - one poster noted that you would need to fly under Part 107, which prompted the usual flurry of philosophical discussion on whether that was true. It was not directed as criticism of your actions. In this case it is true - the volunteer nature of your flight is irrelevant to the FAA - it was not a recreational flight. Just ignore that part of the discussion if you are not interested. As for your accusation of arrogance - presumably directed at those of us who engaged in that discussion - that certainly discouraged me from wanting to help you, so good luck.

The best part of this discussion is the subject line of the first post. If that alone doesn’t peak your interest, then I don’t know what does.

Well said mate. Could not agree more with your statement.

Things always get a little heated when the commercial Vs recreational issues come up in the forum, but I think you got your answer in post #2 from @HeavensAbove ...

That means I have to assume you were willing to help in the first place, yeah, not so much.

Good catch - if you look at my posting history on this forum I'm sure that you will be able to confirm quickly that I'm not much help.

Your original post did not ask that question, but "... Next up, someone on here is going to help me download and decipher my flight log to find out what happened. I've never done it before. "

In post #3 you got the answer you needed, but so far no sign of a flight log from you? Ooh and BTW - you need to work on your attitude a bit...

Obviously, nothing could be further from the truth and I for one am VERY glad you're here, amigo. I am also sure that there are MANY others who feel the same way. Ditto for Bud, Meta, etc., etc. (I would type all the profile names if I still had some memory cells left so to ALL the regular "helpers," thank you, thank you, thank you.) <smile>

That means I have to assume you were willing to help yourself in the first place by POSTING THE LOG FILE (Post #3). Yeah, not so much.

OK guys this has went far enough . Now the OP should have posted the files and his opening
statement was not to cool as it did look like he was demanding but this went OT several times
I have posted twice already so all I see that can be said in this is if he decides to upload the files .
@cj2164 if you do decide to do so message me and I will reopen it but till then..
