Opinions ?? Anyone think Air2S will get "real" Native DJI waypoints?

Not the same thing, and that won't operate independently of the remote like actual waypoint on the mavic 2/3, relies on the instructions from the remote.

They have place to save waypoint data (like the 8GB internal storage or storage used for Hyper lapse), it should hence not be a big deal to add code logic to leverage these waypoints and get autonomous flight. I do not get your point abpout why it is not possible vs they do not want to ...

If you really want waypoints in the 2S, join the DJI forum and comment there. They are involved with that forum. And that's how waypoints came about for the Mavic 3. And yes, the capability IS there for waypoints in the 2S. Hyperlapse does not have the "continue in case of disconnect" switch.

That said, I don't think they will add the waypoints before I replace my Mavic Air 2 with a newer model with waypoints, such as Mavic 3 classic.

If you want the full functionality of waypoints get the 3 not the 3 classic. They removed some minor things from the 3 classic in terms of having fine tuning to waypoints.
