Osmo Pocket v Removu K1
I've just come across the Removu K1 which is an obvious competitor to the Osmo Pocket both being portable 4k 3 axis gumball mounted cameras. These products appear to approach the same problem but from from opposite directions. The Removu has every feature build in and is therefore bulky whereas the Osmo strips out nearly everything to make it amazingly small.
Hers what the Removu K1 has built in (which we would like in the Osmo)
1) External Microphone socket
2) Tripos Socket
3) Removable and externally chargeable 4h battery
4) WiFi connection to the phone app
5) Wide FOV (17m equivalent)
6) 4 directional Joystick control of gumball
7) Micro USB support
On the other hand the Osmo Pocket has:
1) Very small form factor
2) Face tracking
I know some of the above will be available fro the Osmo via plug in accessories like the control wheel and the 3.5mm microphone jack or 3rd party 3d printed stuff (tripod mount) but that's not ideal.
At the end of the day, the best camera to use is the one you have with you - and that will be he Osmo because its beautiful small - even though the Removu K1 has the feature set I want.
