Can any UK based Operators recommend a Paper LogBook?, Amazon have loads but do not give any details or images as to the content/layout, I suspect some are more like novelty notebooks

How simple or complex do you want it to be?
Determine what data you wish to capture regarding the flight.
Do you want it per flight/mission/battery?
Set you parameters that you wish to record, and build from there.
If you are looking for a ready made, take a look at this one.

It really depends on what you wish to put in and what you think the FAA would look at if ever audited.
How detailed do you want it, simple or complex or in between.
Lots of really great choices.

US based here, but I use a hardcover field journal type pilot’s logbook purchased from our local airport pilot store - its nice. Maybe you can find the same? You are right, there’s a plethora of them shown on Amazon too. Some do show the content, but most do not. I can’t provide info from mine at the moment, just started the workday :(. Have a great new year!

I bastardized one that I had purchased. I modified to suit my needs and kept almost the same appearance. I used MS Word to finalized my product. I print out the page and hand write the data in. Maybe I am not right in the mind, (or maybe I am ****) but I will not maintain a “computer copy” cause should I ever be audited, I will not give up my electronics.

Excel and print the pages out? Or subscribe to AirData and print from there regularly.

Thx for replies, looked at airdata and it's not really suitable for my usage, but made a template that I can just print out a page at a time, there may be a printed logbook out there, but as mentioned, most of em don't show you what fields are on the pages, hardly worth paying the silly prices for something when you don't even know what it contains

P.S. reason I asked for UK Based is the few examples I have seen contain US-Centric fields

Hi Asgard,
I live down in Pembrokeshire, Wales and I am also a newby in this wonderful pastime.
I bought the "Drone Operastor's Logbook, printed & sold by Amazon.co.uk at £4.95 in Nov2018.
It is titled "Training and Maintenance Record" and appears to be a licensed print of the USA, FAA publication.
It is not ideal for UK use, but easy to modify recorded comments as it has a relatively large NOTES section, considering the 4perpage format. About 100pages, it gives you 400 flight records.
I work on the basis that what is not needed, I can ignore or re-define as a useful parameter.
At 400 flights for £4.95, what's to dislike? It would cost a lot more to print and I am changing/modifying records until I know exactly what I want. Then I can do a personal print-run if I discover that I really need that, else I will continue for the next couple of years that it will take to fill this record book and search for something that I will know suits my need exactly.

Good luck with the search, and enjoy this super forum. So knowledgable and generous with advice.
