Air 2s Paragliding Coastal Cliffs in Southern New Zealand

Hi team,

This is the first time I've posted an actual video to the forums

I shot this mid October last year ( Equivalent season to your mid May in the Northern Hemisphere )

Shot at approx Latitude -44.450000 by Longitude 171.256000

I'd had my MA2S for about 5 months by then and it was done in 1 take

A bit rough but generally pretty happy with it

It was a lucky break as much as anything

I happened to be driving along and saw the guy flying but had 2 issues

Here in NZ you have to have permission to fly over someones land and the farmer whose land I needed to fly over was more than happy as I had arranged to do harvesting shots in summer so that box ticked

But I had to wait until the flyer got close enough to the car park to yell out to him and get his permission so as not to scare him thinking some random might fly too close and potentially sever or damage his lines so that took about 20 mins before I could get his permission but by them I was all ready to fly as soon as he said yes....

It seems for me that in the past the unplanned shots are the one that are the most impressive!!! I've seen a few paragliders as well as ultralites in my time. I'm never got to ride in one. I did go up in a Autogyro once with a pilot that was amazing.
