Play store and apk's on DJI rc2

Hi I have the DJI rc2 controller (for my mini 5pro) and was wondering if there was a way to download apk's of third party apps on the rc2 when I tried it did not let me and gave me the an error of on the lines of this user.can not download anything.

Really best would be to download APK/app of Google play store making it easier not to have to download an APK every time.

Additionally would like for a way to download with out connecting to a computer. And that the actual layout of the DJI rc2 doesn't change and the only way to open an added app is thru the controller internal files app.

Ps. Has anyone done this before and had any problems with either warranty or more importantly flying their drone afterwards?

Just use RC-N3 and you have "download" as many APKs as you wish.

You can't download apk's on the n3 but you can on the smartphone connected to it.
I asked for the rc2 anyone have any ideas??

It would appear not. Since the early Mavic Pro and Assistant 2, DJI have been improving and hardening the resistance of their controllers and drones to hacks. As I understand, the RC2 Pro (which costs about the same as a mini 5 Pro package) can install other programs compatible with Android. If they’d offered a mini 5 Pro package that had included that remote, that’s what I’d have bought!

Installing a 3rd party app like litchi on the RC 2 Pro will stil not work because DJI has NOT added the RC 2 Pro to their SDK (you can controll the drone but the live video feed does not work (black screen)).
