Anyone else experience this? My tablet said missing resource files and went to install and it was gone. From app history and all.
Thanks for the link @msinger, but the download from other sources outside the Play Store must be explicitly approved by the user of the Android device, which represents a general security risk to my knowledge. But even more I would like to know why this app is currently no longer available in the Play Store. Google may have discovered features in the app that are not compliant with their policies and have thrown out the app. Or DJI has simply failed to renew any licenses. Maybe it has come out that the app DJI GO spies on the user even more than it is already knownIf anyone needs to download DJI GO 4, the APK is still available in the DJI Download Center.
I guess play it safe and don't install it then if that's your personal policy with APK files. Toss the Mavic in the closet and head out for a walk insteadThanks for the link @msinger, but the download of other sources outside the Play Store must be explicitly approved by the user of the Android device, which represents a general security risk to my knowledge
More walks? I go for so many walks, because almost always the weather is not suitable for flying. Spring is really slow here. In fact, I just wanted to point out that it is generally not recommended to install apps from other sources. And there may even be a valid reason why this app has just disappeared from the store. What's wrong with being careful or calling for caution?I guess play it safe and don't install it then if that's your personal policy with APK files. Nothing if you were advising against doing something that was actually dangerous. I've never heard of anyone running into trouble after downloading a DJI GO APK file directly from DJI's website. What's wrong with being careful or calling for caution?
Of course you are right. As so often, it is a very personal decision to do such things. Even those who have been warned before can complain loudly afterwards. That's just how it is in life. Anyway ... Who can, should perhaps actually wait until this mystery regarding the GO App has been revealedNothing if you were advising against doing something that was actually dangerous. I think the version number is the most important, and not so much the update date in the store.View attachment 68132 I had the Feb 19 update installed and it just showed as an update.
Updated it and it still shows the same date and not as Apr 2
