Possible Air 3S sighting – better camera, lidar

DJI are testing tech for military and law enforcement applications. Our nice photos are secondary. LIDAR is a natural inclusion in that testing phase. Ukraine, means think in terms of their needs as opposed to ours. Autonomous function, obstacle avoidance, image only acquisition AI.

DJI are a German company. The CCP just builds and tests. If you think the Germans won't put everything into the Air3S and Mav IV Pro, think again.

Also, DJI profits are via the Ukraine war. So, perhaps, thinking outside the box (Mav IV) - 10X optical 3rd camera, Mini 4 Pro sensor. Better low light and detail than previous ½ inch sensor. Please consider that. Again, DJI are making an absolute killing with this war. It will drag on. They want to out do The Pentagon local, up and comers, Autel etc.

Ah, a troll.

DJI Rebrands as "Deutsche Jet Innovation": Celebrating Precision Engineering & High-Quality Bratwurst Delivery Drones

BERLIN, GERMANY – September 24, 2024
– The world's most recognizable name in drone technology, DJI, has unveiled a stunning rebrand today, announcing its official transformation from "DJI" to Deutsche Jet Innovation, reflecting its long-hidden origins as a premier German drone company. The rebranding comes with a commitment to merge precision engineering with cutting-edge aerial technology—plus an unexpected expansion into the bratwurst delivery market.

"We’ve always been known for our technological prowess, but many don’t know our true heimat,” said DJ...er, Deutsche Jet Innovation CEO Helmut von Flugmaschine. "It’s time the world realized that every time one of our drones took flight, it was powered by German precision—and maybe a little Bavarian spirit."

Redefining Drone Technology – The German Way

As part of the rebrand, Deutsche Jet Innovation will continue its focus on revolutionizing drone technology but with a more distinctly German flavor. The new tagline, “Fly the Ordnung Way,” encapsulates the company’s commitment to unparalleled order, efficiency, and precision in everything it does—from flying through narrow corridors to avoiding any slight deviations in altitude.

Deutsche Jet Innovation will also incorporate autobahn technology into its drones, allowing them to soar at speeds that previously seemed impossible without breaking any (literal) air traffic rules. Each drone is now equipped with an integrated “Oompah Band” soundtrack feature for that authentic German atmosphere while flying.

Bratwurst Delivered Direct to Your Door

As part of its bold new direction, Deutsche Jet Innovation will also launch the WurstWings™, a line of drones specifically designed to revolutionize Germany’s beloved sausage industry. With culinary precision matched only by their aeronautical prowess, the WurstWings™ can deliver hot bratwurst directly to customers’ doorsteps in under 15 minutes, with real-time sauerkraut heating technology.

"We're not just delivering drones; we're delivering culture," says von Flugmaschine. "Imagine getting your perfectly grilled bratwurst dropped off by a machine that embodies the spirit of the German engineering tradition. The future is now—and it’s delicious."

A Commitment to German Efficiency

The move also comes with a promise to improve internal efficiency, modeled after Germany’s much-loved public transportation system. “Our new drone management system will be as efficient as Berlin’s S-Bahn. Well, at least on the good days," quipped Chief Operations Officer Klaus Schnellflug.

In honor of its newfound identity, Deutsche Jet Innovation is setting up headquarters in a state-of-the-art facility located in the heart of Berlin, next to an artisan pretzel bakery for increased synergy.

Available Now

Deutsche Jet Innovation’s full range of drones—from their high-speed camera models to their bratwurst-dropping WurstWings™—will be available to the public starting October 3, 2024, just in time for Oktoberfest.

That's all very well, but there's still no indication that the Air 3S will have Lidar or a better camera.
Just some guy guessing.

Well whaddya know, it has a better camera and Lidar 😉

Demonstrating that unsubstantiated guesses sometimes come true.

Speaking of prognostications about future models, is there reason to think that the rumored Mavic 4 would NOT include the nifty new features of the Air 3S? Given that I have a Mavic 3 Pro, I'm not yet seeing a reason to consider an Air 3S, but would consider an upgrade to a Mavic 4.

Given the accuracy, I suspect it was far from unsubstantiated, the source just wasn't shared with us.

For a truly unsubstantiated guess, take a look at my speculations about the Neo Pro 😉😁
