Hi All, just joined this forum, it seems a sensible place to ask a question with such a large base of knowledgeable pilots. I have a Mavic Air, I dropped the remote in a river last year. I had it cleaned professionally and calibrated and tested. It works again, but occasionally makes a prolonged beeping which is really annoying, although it works. Here's the question: if I got hold of a new controller second hand is it easy to pair a new (to me) controller to the aircraft? Is it just a case of going through the usual drill or would I need the password/details from the old owner in order for it to work with my M Air? thanks.

Any Mavic air controller will pair. Just a matter of the linking process.

All you'll need to do is link the new remote controller like this:

I didn't know this was possible. Can one use both controllers simultaneously?

I'm not sure about Air but you can with M2. One will be secondary with primary being able to override secondary controls, and some settings not shown in secondary.
