Practical uses

While I love aerial photography, I was talking to a friend recently and he was telling me about a buddy of his that is a farmer and he uses his drone to check on his cows in the pasture every morning. I recently used my drone to inspect the roof of a house I am considering. What are some practical uses you use your drone for but not necessarily for hire.

Using photogrammetry to measure how much dirt we just cleaned out of a dry dam. Hopefully the mapsmadeeasy pilot app updates soon to support the new mavic, that 20MP camera is ideal for this...

I've used my Phantom 3 to inspect the gutters, the chimney, and used it to measure the approximate height of a tree. A couple of years ago when they were tearing up the streets around here to replace the sewer lines I used it to plot a way for my wife to get home and avoid the construction.
