Pre/Post Flight Checklists

I am sort of a documentation fanatic and I've been looking at a good way to manage pre and post flight checklists. There are some good services like Kittyhawk, Skyward, etc that have these but to be honest, I find them pretty cumbersome to use. Ideally I'd like to find a good app for this so it would be right there on my iPad mini - which I use for my controller - to keep everything concise and easy to deal with. Nothing needs to be all that fancy, just a way to create a dated checklist with a list of definable items with checkboxes and a spot for notes. Would also be great if it automatically pulled GPS and weather data too.

Has anyone found anything along these lines that I have not seen? Or, what are some ways you are finding useful to manage this sort of information?

I Googled for checklists and found many printable ones. Since it appears you may be seeking an app, here is another option. DroneLogBook. IF you get into a trial, at least at the Enterprise level, there are extensive checklists you can customize. I visited with the Founder and he said they were also in the process of updating some of the user interfaces. ... (I was also looking for Mission Planning, thus "Enterprise" level offers that.) I'd just ask for it for trial. Very fair annual investment if you use it. DroneLogbook

Anyone suggesting you do not need a checklist is endangering lives. UASs are not toys. Your checklist may not need to be as extensive as some, yet a checklist is essential. ...Let me count the ways.

On my Mini4 I use an app called "Notability" (now about $10.00USD). I've copied checklists and even DJI owners manuals into it and I put the icon into my "Flight" folder so I remember to use it.

Funny you mentioned that... I am a huge Notability fan and been using it for a few years on my iPads, iPhone and Mac. Love the syncing and ease of use. I was actually thinking about just building a checklist template in there and with the checkboxes, use it for checklists this way. Do you have any good checklist templates or any ideas where to find comprehensive ones? i could do my own of course, but just curious to see what others are using.

Totally agreed on the safety AeroVP. Documentation is critical for this type of operation and I cannot stress enough how important it is. everyone should be documenting their flights, aircraft and maintenance without a doubt. I am trying out Drone LogBook, thats for the suggestion! I like it so far but it is a little cumbersome in some ways. I'll give it some time to see how it does.
