Hi all,
I'm quite unfamiliar with editing video's, but now that I have the mavic I have made some movies which I am only marginally happy with.
My normal workflow is to go to a nice place, fly and try to think of nice shots to capture and then film these.
I then import the created movies into Premiere Elements (add project assets). Then I will put one of the movies on the time bar, remove all bad pieces (sudden movements, uninteresting shots, over/underexposed, etc). I will keep the resulting bits. Then I take the next movies, repeat.
I then end up with a bunch of clips that should be good/interesting. I will put them in a logical order and start looking for nice music to add as a soundtrack.
Once I have the soundtrack, I will arrange clip by clip and modify speeds, start point, end point etc. so it lines up with the music.
Finally, I will add a start text and end credits and that's it.

Issues:
- is this "the correct way"?
- why/how do you decide to put clips on different video tracks? Not sure how to use that properly.
- I find it difficult to come to nice cinematography, as in shots of equal lengths, climaxes in the music vs spectacular shots
- I find it difficult to come up with original shots if I am "just" filming the landscape; how to interchange between details and overviews, etc?
- I find the entire process really tedious and difficult to keep the overview, is there a better way?
- For the tings I film, I think 2 minutes is a nice duration. However, a lot of music is three minutes or more... can you also edit music (shorten/cut pieces out of it) in the same way you do with vid? I think I saw there was a link somewhere where Premiere would automatically do that for you... any experience with that?
