Problem using tablet

I have a Samsung Galaxy tab 4 and occasionally while in flight, the DJI GO4 app freezes and I have to restart it.
Now Im wondering if it's the tablet, app or drone itself. It does not happen with my phone though, so Im thinking it's probly the tablet.

Has anyone had any experience with this problem?

Your best bet is the flash a custom ROM that is as light as possible. Also, make sure you kill every task that isn't being used.

I'm going to be frank, that is an old tablet and it scores even lower in performance than the Nexus 7, which is already beginning to reaching the end of its life as a good DJI tablet. Because it's so underpowered, a high-intensity task like the Go4 app is going to absolutely kill its GPU and CPU, which is why your tablet freezes: there is too much processing for it to keep up.

This tablet is under powered for the newest versions of the DJI Go 4 app. You could try installing an older version of DJI Go 4.

Absolutely correct. I have a rooted Tab A 6 and have 4.1.3 on it and its fine. I was trying to help a friend out with his MA and I loaded 4.2.4, pfft no way would it work!!
Mind you this tablet worked great till late last year with 4.1.18 but after that, nup Go4 it too intensive.

Yeah Mossi, tried all that stuff. Its rooted so all apps are gone. 4.1.15 wont work reliably.

Does anyone have a recommendation as to what tablet I should get?

I see that people are having success with the fire hd8's but looking at their specs, they dont seem much different from my tab 4.

A friend of mine with a MA, just bought the Lenovo Tab 4 and reckons its great? It does run an early version snapdragon....

You are lucky. Mine wont even open the app. Opens the first beach picture of the Mavic Air then closes. Looking into a Lenovo Tab 4 myself
