I have read some other threads about processor chip overheating but not quite like mine. The fans comes on and runs for about 10 seconds then shuts off. I connected to DJI Assistant and the fan ran for quite awhile. Went back outside to try again and the fan ran for an extended time but the message was still there and unable to take off. The "processor overheating" message appears immediately. This is on a drone that is cool, just started, in the shade on a 75 degree day. Any other experiences or thoughts on this topic. Anything I should try before fan replacement? Coincidentally, when I tried to launch I did just install an update but that was just DJI geolocation update, could it have caused an issue? Thanks.

The core board gets corrosion around the fan connector which can cause your issue. Open it up and inspect with a magnifier.

Check the air intakes either side of the fuselage gimbal rebate: make sure they're clear. Inspect the air channels, the fan body and heatsinks too. As an example - the mini's have a similar overheating problem that's caused by a lack of air being blown across the main board.

Might also be that the thermal paste between the chips and the heatsink plates has dried out and is not doing the job it was intended to do... example: common problem with PS5's.
