Hi everyone,

Sorry if this has been discussed in the past.

I have a DJI Mavic Mini 1 and a Mavic Air 2. Can both be flown at the same time (with different phones of course), using the same user login?

I ask because I'd like to fly one while my wife flies the other, but we didn't want to have to make two logins.

Thanks!

I have two drones that I turn on and test concurrently. I could easily send both of them up at the same time, but that would not be advisable. I have same user login for both. So the short answer...is yes.

Why would it not be advisable ?
I am assuming two drone’s two controllers but one account.

Yes we fly more than 1 drone on the same account at the same time, your good to fly.

Gear to fly your Mavic in the Rain and Float on Water.

Because I don’t have another pilot to fly the second drone.

I have launched two drones, put one up in hover and then do a Orbit for a "Selfie" with the second Drone... I have never thought it inadvisable, then again I trust my skill set and more so my drones. I could easily spin the other remote in my hand from the neck straps...which I always use if I detected a issue with the hover drone. I guess it might be who makes the rules on "under control" to me it falls into that hand catch category where people think it's to much risk and those of us who do it without thinking for years?. But I would have no issue doing what I describe in a non rural fly zone.

But to the OP once both Apps have been authorized and assigned to a account they will remain so until logged out....so fly away and let the wife have some fun too...keep your distance, call out altitudes often..;)

I attempted taking a photo of my drone using a Canon camera, while the drone hovered in front of me. The lanyards got tangled up and as a result, my drone ran smack dab into a flag pole. No serious injuries caused, just need new props on one motor. I am quite sure that I could’ve accomplished this goal without the minor crash, but as I said, I would advise against it.

Not to get too technical, but isn’t it against FAA policy for a pilot to operate more than aircraft(drone) at a time? I am not interested in starting a debate or another thread...just asking?
