Quick Shot Orbit/Asteroid Max Height

Can I alter how high the Quick Shot Orbit/Asteroid can go? I tried setting the Max Height but once it's reached max height the Orbit stopped working.

I don't believe you can change the altitude of Asteroid quick shot.

I wish the in-app quick tutorial would tell you how much height/distance to allow for the quickshots.
