CC works in Hyperlapse free with my M3 Classic. Straight, angle and curve. It SHOULD work with the A3 also.

According to the manual it works in Hyperlapse Free mode

You can also lock in the speed at which it circles?

Can you set up a slow orbit and then turn on hyper lapse while it's already moving at the speed and angle you want?

Effectively, yes, whatever stick inputs you have currently selected will be maintained, assuming no change in wind during CC. However, it isn't set to maintain speed per se. If the drone encounters a headwind, it cannot automatically increase the speed to counter the headwind, but you can still do that by adding speed manually, and relocking the new stick settings reflecting the headwind to maintain a constant ground speed.

You need to turn on hyperlapse first, and then activate CC. I don't think you can activate hyperlapse during CC.

This guy just put up a video, showing how to set CC on the customizable buttons on the back of the RC-2.
And he gives a small demo. After watching that I think I am sold on the usefulness of CC.
Especially not being such an accomplished pilot.
