Radio Control vs WiFi?

Can someone please explain the pros and cons of the Mavic Air being WiFi controlled vs radio controlled?

When flying without a remote controller, the range is limited to a distance of 80 meters and an altitude of 50 meters. Also, it won't be as easy to control the Mavic Air since you'll be using the virtual sticks on the mobile device screen.

Pros? I cannot think of any.

What frequency would the remote controller operate on versus the wifi??
What would be the difference there? Is it simply a power issue?
