Raptor SR problems and controller anomalies.

I bought the Raptor SR and installed it, but I'm not get any better range or video feed than I was with the stock antennas, and in some cases it's worse than my windsurfers. I triple checked the cables, and tried both 2.4 and 5.8. No joy. Anything else I should be looking at?

On a potentially related note, the 4hawks installation video mentions and shows an "internal antenna" that needs to be removed and then replaced. You can see it here, starting at about 3:45.

But my controller had no such part. Could this be a design change? A defective controller? What does an "internal antenna" do, anyway?

That video shown is a Spark RC. So we don't have that part. And I have absolutely increase on range on my 4Hawrks Raptor SR from 4000ft to 10000ft on Urban Area full of Interference. And no lost on video feed too.
