We chanced across the sign to this site on the way back from the Bone Caves - without time to stop - so arranged to return a few days later, when the weather was ok.

Good car parking and a pleasant if steep walk down to the Burn, with some great flying to be had low over the burn or higher up between the trees.

The original circular path is now closed due to a landslip, but the out-and-back lower path leads to a nice picnic spot, we sadly didn't have time to do the other walk, but perhaps will return to do it another time...

The place is quiet, with lots of storm downed fir trees adding a wild feel to the place, the one local we met did warn us of the fierce midges from June to September, so be warned and take precautions...

Loved the flying. I had a lot of trouble with buffering, with halting starts and stops for the entire reel but I waited it out. Maybe my computer's overload, or your high resolution. I'm just not into Avata but I do enjoy watching some members films as long as they are not wiggling and waggling back and forth too much. I get nausea watching those, but not yours.

Thanks Dale, AVATA can be used for much more than just tricks, it is ideal for close in proximity flying and exploring like this, with the advantage of ducted fans to make getting in close a little safer...

Awesome video and great flying! I would probably crash and burn trying to fly in areas like that lol
