RAW and BLACK SCREEN

II use lightroom and other apps and every pic I take with a raw photo the screen is totally black. Is this normal? What am I missing or doing wrong here?

It's not normal.
Upload one of the problem files to dropbox or similar and post a link here so comeone can see if they can open the file normally.

Are you copying your files from the SD card to your computer before importing them into Lightroom? That should work, or give a file error if the copy is not successful.

I found out what the problem was today. My settings were wrong at the rc and now everything is working and I'm able to view an adjust my pics and wow what a difference!! I just couldn't understand why it wasn't working. This should improve my photos by leap and bounds.

I had similar problem using the 3 image HDR function on my mini 2 the jpgs were just black and the dng files even though the thumbnails were black they did open but with no exposure bracketing. these are some test shots I did prior to reseting the camera setting with everything now good and working correctly.
