RC 2 Controller Firmware: v08.00.0000 Mini 4 or v08.01.0100 Mini 5

Latest RC 2 Controller Firmware noted for Mini 4 Pro is different than that noted for Mini 5 Pro. I would expect that it would be the same RC 2 for both drone models.

Not necessarily. The RTH features are not the same. The Mini 5 Pro has the ability to set the RC2 as a dynamic home point, the Mini 4 Pro does not.

That begs the question as to why DJI has two firmware versions for the RC 2 controller.

I assume that the version for the Mini 5 also works for the Mini 4.

When you change between mini 4 and Mini 5 drones on the RC2 the routine includes comments that firmware has been installed. I’ve not checked the firmware versions for my RC2 as I’ve not installed the latest updates so I don’t have the restrictions of the latest versions.
