RC not connecting

Hi,
Just new on here and hopefully your guys will be able to help with an issue that I am getting very frustrated with.
My RC is continually showing "connecting".
I have looked at loads of forums and threads and tried lots of suggestions but with no luck.
MP and RC fully charged, both units powered up. Connected to a samsung android (which has worked fine in the past).
Tried changing RC connecting cable- no luck
Tried connecting to the USB port on the RC- no luck
Tried the C1 C2 and record button but after several attempts the RC does not beep. No "binding" display just connecting.
Green light on side of MP is lit, switch set to RC (not wi-fi)
Uninstalled and reinstalled DJI4 app on android, restarted phone- no luck.
Tried a different phone, no luck.
Firmware is up to date.
Any suggestions whould be most welcome.

Here is what I have to do.
Power on the RC
Power on the drone.
Wait about 10 sec
Start the Go4 app.

I am using a Samsung Tab E and 7.1.1

I tried that a couple of times with my S6 but with no luck.

Hi, Just to let you know that after trying my RC with a friends MP and swapping cables, RC's, Drones etc we concluded that the RC was the issue. I rang my suppliers as the drone is still under warranty and they had a look at it this afternoon. They assessed that the USB motherboard was faulty and they replaced the unit for me. So now I am back ready to fly.
