RC Plus RM700B Controller

Curious, is anyone flying their Mavic 3 Pro or Air 2S using a modified RC Plus?
I like the controller but do wonder about its use with these birds.
Have seen modified (hacked) controllers on ebay that they claim are usable with the Mavic or Air 2s

I have one that I got last April. I use it with my Mavic 3 Classic and love it. There are some buttons that aren't functional, but every button you' would have on an RC Pro works on the RC Plus> You have to remember to shut off automatic updates for firmware for the controller.

If you have used an RC Pro, it's the same functionality. Slightly better range, built in mic, bigger/brighter screen. RC Pro is 1000 nits, RC Plus is 1200 nits. It fits better in my hands as well.

I have a the RC Plus that I use with no problems on both my Air-2S and my Mini 3Pro. I haven’t seen the RC Plus with RC Pro Firmware, available as an upload-able file. Most of the RC Plus Controllers that work with the Mini 3Pro and the Mavic AIR 2S are coming out of China and are code modified versions of the Enterprise versions of the stock DJI RC Plus controllers.

You get the same features as the RC PRO

I have the RC Plus and been using it, testing it for about a week or two on my Mavic 3 Classic, Pro, Air 2S, MIni 3 Pro. It feels very rugged (things are built like tanks), big bright screen, long battery life, especially with the WB37 battery pack.

One thing though is that it's a big and heavy controller so you need to find a case that would fit it, like the RLSOCO one from Amazon. The fan also kicks in a few minutes after use and it can get a bit loud.

Still impatiently waiting for mine to arrive from China.
Is in the states & cleared customs, has USPS tracking number assigned, just not moving.

Question, you can update the fly app, correct, just not the controller FW?
Any advice from your testing?

Yes it take a few days for the handoff to USPS, not much you can do but wait.

Yeah you can update just the fly app. Not much advice as it performs the same as my RC Pro.
