Does anyone know if the rear sensors on the MA2 actually stop the movement or just warn of obstacles? Will it steer itself around obstacles flying backwards?

i would imagine that they work the same as any other sensors on the mavics they will stop the drone at some point if they detect the obstacle but just remember they are not completely foolproof
APAS will work frontwards or backwards and will try to fly around an object if it knows a path around it, and will stop before the object if it doesn't know a path around it. As old man mavic said, it's not foolproof.
