Reclaim Drone

I did not realize my FAA number had to be on my drone until a few days ago. So being the law abiding citizen and responsible drone operator I registered my drone with reclaimdrone.com and got a sticker set to place on my drone. It was under $4 eBay and the biggest frustration I had was how to get the backing off. But after trials and tribulations and a crafty neighbor I realized fold the sticker long ways and it parts in the middle. I had my friend go to the website and look up my number and I got an email that somebody found my drone. This worked out well just letting everybody know.

So, what's the benefit here? Your phone number is already on the drone, so I'm assuming it would be easiest to just call it. No? Or are you thinking this would be a good option for those people who are scared to attach their phone number to the drone (for whatever reason)?

I guess if you lose your drone you want every option for people to find you. People are funny who knows what they're comfortable with but you have an expensive piece of equipment that is lost in a worst-case scenario and maybe the bold ones will call you the shy ones will look it up online or maybe they'll just keep it who knows.

Glad to hear a positive outcome from Drone registration. While I don’t use a recovery service I do have my phone on the FAA registration number stickers.

Same here. Mine are located inside the battery compartment to avoid the elements and debris.
