Hi people, not been on here for a while as with Covid etc I've flown my Mavic Air once in the last 2 years. It's been packed up for 12 months and I need to use it this week. I've charged my batteries and no matter what I do I can't get the drone to pair with the handset. I've had this before after a period of no use. I've followed the instructions for wired and wif fi connection and it just does not want to know. Wonder if anyone has a strict procedure to master an uncooperative drone? I'll be chuffed if you do. I'm having to walk away or it will be flying through the window unpowered. Thanks in anticipation - Keith

I could post a youtube video here BUT honestly find a few of those and watch if by then it still will not pair.
Some things that may help. Get away from any other wi-fi sources. Turn your VPN off and If you are using a mac you can have problems It should work BUT sometimes it just won't. ALSO the number one reason people have problems:: Check your cable, Make sure it is a data cord and not just for charging. P.S. come to Bakersfield and throw it thru mine. ;)

Try uninstalling the app and then reinstall and run any updates and try pairing again

I did the same. Before I even powered up the Mavic 3 Classic, I powered the RC-pro and logged in to DJI. I did all the firmware updates it required and then powered on the Mavic. The drone required updates as did all the batteries. It flew fine. Good luck. Fly safe.

FYI - Not sure what model you have exactly but be aware that if it's been two years you may need a remote id on the drone given the FDA regulations. Not a biggie to get one but if you've been away there have been some significant changes to brush up on. I mention this as one who was also away and had to get caught up getting a couple of remote ID's

I mentioned it is a Mavic Air and thankfully I have solved the issue. I'm in the UK, so FDA whatever that is won't apply, but thaks for your input. Also I am a huge fan of Phoebe Snow's work.

For us in the UK it's CAA Civil Aviation Authority, but we don't have to register handsets, just do a small exam to get a licnce for anything over 250 grams.
