Recording and playing video on DJI smart controller

I’m a beginner pilot. I just have a basic skill for drone flying and now I want to record and playback video on the Smart controller so while the drone is in flight I press the video record button fly for a bit, land and take the se card out put it into my PC but I cannot find any recording. Can anyone point me to an instruction guide or video on basic video recording using the Smart Controller, your help is greatly appreciated.

I am a new flyer too but the easiest way is to take the sd card from the drone for the direct recorded video and pics. There is a new upgrade for the sc that has as one of its fixs is to give you the option to use the sd card as default to record on, but to get what is on there now I go into the slide down menu, into settings, into storage then internal storage. Tap on that and will show several graphs, tap on videos, select all and then edit. then press copy and as long as you have a sd card in it will copy and do the same with the pics, a pain but the new update should fix this. I think every time you start up you need to cache and such to record on the card. Hope this helps and pretty sure some one will have a better, good luck

You may be recording to internal storage and not the sd card. There is a setting for which one you want to write to. Keeping in mind that with the smart controller, you can have 2 sets of internal storage and two sets of card storage between the controller and the mav depending on which you choose as your default.
