Hi does anyone know. If you are in inteligent mode, lets say quick shots and doing a rocket. While in that mode doing this you get a remote control connection error. Will the intelligent mode automatically stop and return to its starting point. And will the rth button or sticks on the remote work. Whats going to happen in that case. Anyone please thanks

I tested this by turning off my RC while rotating around an object using POI and my MP just stopped. I had RTH set to hover so that is what it did. I am using an older version of Go 4 so I can't say that it still works that way. Just check your RTH settings and test it yourself in a wide-open area.

If you have a RC disconnect then button and stick inputs will have no effect.

Hi thanks mossiback, but you set it to return home if you get disconnected ... shouldnt it automatically do an rth?

Yes, it should RTH after being disconnected from the RC for more than 3 seconds.
Anyway if yours just hovered, how did it land?
I turned the RC back on and it reconnected, which allowed me to regain control.

You know, I am now second-guessing myself. It was quite a while ago that I tested this and I think instead of turning off the RC I unplugged my tablet to simulate a Go 4 crash while in active track. When I did that my MP just stopped and hovered. There was no RTH initiated because it was still connected to the RC. I have tested RTH by turning off my RC while in flight and it did start the RTH procedure. I turned the RC back on and cancelled RTH to continue flying.

This evening, I should be able to test turning off the RC while in active track and I will let you know what happens. I expect it to stop active track, hover for 3 seconds, and then RTH. Sorry to lead you in the wrong direction.

During QS, it might not RTH right away while it's doing the task, just as waypoint can continue on.

Note that there are two types of disconnects:
One where the app disconnected from the RC, but the RC and AC are still connected
Other is when RC and AC disconnected.

"Remote Control Disconnected" I believe is the former. No RTH there.
An easy way to tell is look on the RC screen. If it doesn't say "Connecting" then it still has connection with AC.

Litchi is designed to continue the mission if connection with the RC is lost. I do not know about the new waypoint function in Go 4.

Well, I tested it and was absolutely wrong in thinking it would RTH. I set up a Point of Interest flight where I was circling around a tree, turned off my RC, and it just kept on circling until I restarted the RC and stopped it.

I believe in Litchi App that if you are flying an Orbit mission, RTH does not work if signal is lost. AC will will continue to orbit until critical battery, and then land. No RTH.

Sorry but may l ask what is "Litchi App"?

Litchi is an alternative flying application. Check it out at https://flylitchi.com . When you described the issue of lost connection while flying around a tree, I wondered if perhaps you were using the Litchi App. Guess not...

Thanks but no. l'm using the latest version of the dji go 4 app for the mp

I bought my Mavic Pro end of May, 2018. In the first 90 days of flying my Mavic I was plagued by DGI Go 4 issues involving constant disconnect. I read and watched everything I could find concerning DGI Go 4 and Android to find solutions. I did a lot of reading on the Litchi App and was very interested in the Waypoints mode that Litchi had. Far easier than DJI Go 4 App.

I discovered while flying Litchi Waypoints that I very seldom lost connection. At about 120 days into my flying, I finally abandoned DJI Go 4, flying it only rarely- and still having connection issues during the rare occasions of using DJI Go 4. I learned that DJI Go 4 is a "resource hog" compared to Litchi- in other words required a lot more of the phone's resources. Litchi, because it doesn't demand as much of my phone, works almost flawlessly. DJI Go has always left me in fear of losing the drone. I fly Litchi- been flying Litchi- for 5 months confidently!

Thank you for sharing your experience. Is litchi found in play store coz l use a samsung note 4

Yes, found on Play Store. Was around $25.00. Once you have the Litchi App, you can then set up a "Litchi Mission Hub" account online (free) where you can create Waypoint Missions which will download to your Litchi App on your Samsung.

You're going to enjoy Litchi...but take it slow. Continue getting accustomed to the flight characteristics and idiosyncrasies of your Mavic. Watch as many of the YouTube videos on the Litchi App as you can. Get comfortable with flying the Litchi APP before you start playing around with the flight modes (like Waypoints). And when you start using the "autonomous" flight modes (like Waypoints), create easy and short missions being especially careful of altitude and other settings. And REMEMBER...when using "Orbit" mode in Litchi, there is no "RTH" if you lose connection!! About the only "negative" thing I have to say about Litchi.
