Remote ID on Mavic Air

I'd noticed that the Mavic Air/DJI Go supports something -like- Remote ID, but does the craft itself fully support the upcoming Remote ID rules?

I think those are supposed to be coming down in July?

I'm assuming most of the current DJI products are going to "just work" with this?

Also, does anyone know how Remote ID works technically?
