1. Crashed due to pilot error, mavic was found with gimbal hanging from its wire
2. Filled up the online repair request form with DJI
3. My case details in repair.dji.com shows shipping address 23610 Banning Blvd, Carson, CA. 90745 and advices me to send it there
4. When filling up the online repair request I was prompted "We will send you a shipping label within 2 business days if your place is reachable by our UPS EU service".

Did I do it right?

Someone who went through this process, please chime in. Why would UPS bring me a shipping label, how come it cannot be printed, sticked on the box and sent to NL for repair?

I have DJI care.

Where are you? I guess Germany (Austria) by your name.
DJI has two service centers in Europe, one in Germany, one in Holland. Mine is in Holland after it hit something due to a wind gust.
Procedure is very annoyingly slow.
I suggest to contact the DJI chat, arrange a case number and a pickup closest to your repair center.
Good luck and learn to be patient

Go to the DJI support page, there is an icon of a person with a headphone (don't ask). Click on it and start a chat. Might not work in the weekend
