Repairing Mavic Pro

Trying to decide if this is something that someone can fix without too much experience working on drones.
I have a Mavic Pro I crashed and the left rear arm is broken and Gimbal is broken off only connected by the cables. What would I need to fix this? I see you can purchase parts on Amazon but not sure what is needed for Gimbal?

Yes I reached out to them but as of October 2024 the product is no longer supported. I guess I should buy a new one or try my luck with repairing it.

We have already confirmed that DJI is no longer supporting and repairing the Mavic 2 Pro and older drones.

@PJ19 check out @DDS, they are one of the forum's approved vendors.

Can you solder? Do you have a decent iron? NOT a "Hardware store" iron. Will the Drone transmit from the camera? You can get the gimbals on Ebay easily you are going to have to replace every cable Dont "test" them....Just replace them. IF this is your first fix I would seek out one of the above vendors those camera ribbon cables are "fragile"!!!

Welcome from Kentucky, Cafguy is correct and repair on Mavic pro is not that difficult and you can find video on arm replacement and gimbal replacement, you can find most parts on Ebay.

Sto cercando di decidere se si tratta di un problema che qualcuno può risolvere anche senza avere troppa esperienza con i droni.
Ho un Mavic Pro che ho schiantato e il braccio posteriore sinistro è rotto e il Gimbal è rotto, collegato solo dai cavi. Cosa mi servirebbe per risolvere questo problema? Vedo che puoi acquistare parti su Amazon, ma non sono sicuro di cosa serva per il Gimbal?

Guarda su AliExpress trovi tutti i ricambi, io sono riuscito a rimettere a posto il Gimbal due volte, se guardi ci sono molti tutorial che ti mostrano passo passo come fare, basta avere un minimo di manualità, sicuramente dovrai cambiare i cavi flat, del Gimbal poi osserva le varie parti da sostituire, per quanto riguarda il braccio dell'elica è molto più semplice.

Gimbals are the worst at trying to repair. I had a problem on my Mavic, I tried several advertised on here for repair but they just wanted to replace the entire gimbal and camera system for around $7-850.

I found one who advertised on here, who would do the repair and paid him over $150 but it was never repaired correctly and did not work. He had it back twice to try and fix it but could not. He offered to refund my money but he never did. He was out of Virginia and I would not suggest sending him any work.

In the end I sent it to DJI and they replaced the entire drone at a very reasonable price. Sadly that is no longer an option for you since DJI won't do a repair on that old Mavic Pro. I think with the damage you have; I would look at buying a used one from someone on here or cut your losses and put your repair and parts money towards buying the Air3S.
