Problem?
I have charged up the things and switched on my Mavic Air for the first time in years (sigh....).
One battery is a gonner, dead, no lights and won't charge. The other two are fine.
After connecting it all up though, I saw a bright red alert popup on the GO 4 app (how do you 'read more' about each notification?) saying something was wrong with the right rear obstacle avoidance camera.
I then went through the calibration process and sure enough, when it got to the rear cameras, this is what I saw:
Not sure what the green tick means, but the black image is surely bad a sign.
Was unit in a crash?
Back in 2018, yes. Toward the end of my very long excited post about my first adventure here: Newbie's thoughts after first 'Air holiday' (with film)
However there's no body-damage or marks around the rear cameras. I remember there only being some very light superficial marks - the rear cameras look absolutely fine.
And I'm sure the drone was completely fine after this, as I used it a little bit after and don't remember seeing this warning. Unless it's just taken some hibernation to take effect?
What have you tried so far?
Just submitted a case with DJI ... well, I sent then an email.
What device are you using ( iphone , ipad, Samsung , etc)?
Google Pixel 2, Windows 10 laptop.
What firmware are you running ( aircraft, remote controller)?
The latest for the Mavic Air 1, everything was up to date.
What Go app version are you using?
4.3.37
Any modification? (if so what)
Nope
Did you change anything or install any apps? (if so what)
Nope
Do you have a video or pictures of the problem? (if so post link)
Screenshot from calibration posted above.
My main question is ... will I still be able to fly it okay, do you think? I can't think the rear obstacle camera is the most important - will the others work okay?
I'm hoping to fly it next weekend.
Thanks for any thoughts and tips, much appreciated!
