I was flying at Snapper Point in NSW Australia (yes - had permission from ranger). There were a few aggressive looking birds around. Got a "motor current error. Check your propellers and fly with caution" then "motor obstructed" before I lost contact. I assume this was a bird strike.

Can anyone offer any advice? Log attached.

Apologies for my crude viewpoint:oops: (done without digital analysis)
Was that bit of rock jutting out blocking your LOS? Edit; just shadow on GE makes it look different.
Edit; scrub that. As you say simply just a bird strike then.
As it was happening when you had full left stick elevation was it something hanging out over the cliff like vegetation?
though unlikely judging by the height before it got into trouble, suggesting feathers.

[Why do I waste everybody's time and mine looking at these?]
it seems it was switched to sports mode a few times but critically just as you were going into the face of mother earth

rock, scissors, paper.
Looks like you chose scissors:(

Looking at the map I was just over water when disaster struck. There were a lot of rocks at the base of the cliff, so I thought it unlikely that I'd "chosen rocks". Feathers more likely . . .

Managed to get a quote for a Platinum without RC etc at a reasonable price so should be in the air again soon . Reluctant to shell out A$2500 for a M2P if this sort of thing is going to happen again!

I would undoubtably say, that that is a DJI error, DJI are at fault.
Dirk, close this. We are done.
Thanks....

On what grounds? Is it related to the "motor current error"? Any chance of sand in rotors? I would have thought unlikely because it flew normally for almost 9m.

I've owned it for about 15 months so I assume no chance of a warranty claim.
