Air 3 Rogie Falls Drone Flights - AIR3 + AVATA2

Just outside Strathpeffer and Contin, on the A835 (NC500), is the car park for Rogie Falls. A short but steep walk down good paths brings you to the stunning viewpoint and steps to the bridge above the Falls.

We arrived moments before the heavens opened with a torrential downpour of biblical proportions. Thankfully, our good-quality waterproofs and a waterproof raincover on the Osprey Bags prevented any injury to us or the drones.

Soon the rain passed, and I flew the AIR3 and AVATA2 from the viewpoint, capturing some stunning footage - a challenging spot to film due to the constraints of the treelined gorge and limited visibility. Still, we managed to capture sufficient footage to do it justice...

Fly under the bridge slower, fly under bridge faster, caught the relfection of your drone in the water. Beautiful waterfall and scenery surrounding it! WELL DONE, Suzanne!

Lol, thanks, it had to be done, and there was loads of room under that bridge for both the AIR3 AND avata... Wait until you see the gorge footage from Victoria Falls and Ardssie Falls we captured yesterday, close in stuff above decently powerful waterfalls...

Thanks hon, a mix of AIR3 and AVATA2, both flew under the bridge, and the top down reflection just had to be tried... Happy with this one tbh

Wow you get around-is that the real Victoria Falls or are there some in Scotland? Meant to say before, you have the perfect stable of drones to get the best, an Avata and MA3. The mix of both brings your work together very well.

Victoria Falls in Scotland, next to Loch Maree in Ross-shire...

Thanks, I have 4 drones atm, MINI3 Pro - great for getting in close to people, AIR3 - great for countryside and handling the wind - AVATA1 - a tank and great when things get hairy, and the AVATA2, great for getting into tight places... I mainly use the AIR3 and AVATA2, but the others do get flown regularly. Hubby is practising with the AVATA1, which makes for a decent subject to chase...

Mixing the Air and AVATA2 footage doesn't work for everyone, but for me it works well, I can fly smoothly enough that it doesn't feel too dissimilar, but also it allows me to confidently fly into spaces I would never take the AIR3...
