I was out practicing with the Mavic tonight and decided to try the RTH feature. When I initiated the RTH a warning appeared saying I was in a NFZ and the drone was going to hover. It then asked if I wished to cancel the RTH which I did and proceeded to fly home. I was flying within about 4 miles of the airport but had called and notified and was cleared. My biggest concern is why wouldn't the Mavic just return in that situation. I was able to take off from the home point without any warnings but it would not land there automatically. Is there a setting I'm missing? Thanks

I think No Fly Zones are different from typical aviation airspace such as Class D for airports. A No Fly Zone shouldn't allow your craft to take off unless you disabled the feature with DJI's special software. I can imagine that automated flight would be stopped if you wandered in a NFZ. I'm surprised that it didn't force you to land.
